In America we know this gun as the M249 SAW (squad automatic weapon). Or if you are in the Navy the MK46. In Europe its known as the Fabrique National Minimi. This is the current issue squad level light machine gun of the US military. Its an open-bolt, belt-fed light machinegun. It fires 5.56 Nato. It can be fired from the shoulder, bipod, or  mounted on a pintle or our 8x8 Argo vehicle.
